The 15th ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM BCB) is the flagship conference of the ACM SIGBio. ACM-BCB 2024 is the conference's fifteenth year, building upon the success of the first fourteen meetings in Boston, Niagara Falls, Chicago, Orlando, Washington DC, Newport Beach, Atlanta, Seattle, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, online (due to COVID-19), Chicago and Houston. The ACM-BCB 2024 conference will be held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, PR China, Nov. 22-25, 2024.

As a premier ACM conference for interdisciplinary research linking computer science, mathematics, statistics, biology, medicine, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, and health informatics, over the past 14 years, ACM BCB annual conference has risen to be among the top 20 most influential Bioinformatics and Computational Biology referred journals and conferences in Google Scholar. Starting from 2023, ACM-BCB adopted a fully open double-blind review process via OpenReview.net, which will enhance the transparency of the review process and enable active interactions among the authors, reviewers, and the research community.

In addition, it will be co-located with 13th International Workshop on Parallel and AI-based Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (ParBio). The goal of ParBio is to bring together scientists in the fields of high performance computing, computational biology and medicine to discuss. Moreover, artificial intelligence, LLMs, machine learning and big data analytics issues in healthcare and bioinformatics will be addressed. ACM BCB 2024 has also established partnerships with multiple refereed journals – including IEEE/ACM Transaction on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (TCBB), Big Data Mining and Analytics, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, Interdisciplinary Sciences:Computational LifeSciences, Health Information Science and Systems, Journal of Translational Research, Tsinghua Science and Technology – to publish selected original research papers accepted by ACM BCB 2023.
