Call for Posters
The 15
th ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and
Health Informatics (ACM BCB) is the flagship conference of the ACM
SIGBio. ACM-BCB 2024 will be held for the first time outside of USA in Shenzhen China from Nov 22nd to 25th 2024,
after past successes in many USA locations. ACM-BCB 2024 aims to promote AI for Bio-medicine (AI4Bio),
including cutting-edge AI advances in computational biology, bioinformatics, and health informatics,
at the intersection of computer science, artificial intelligence, statistics, biology, and medicine.
We also encourage the participation of physicians and medical researchers if they apply bioinformatics approaches to solve biomedical challenges in their work. We invite authors to submit results that fall into general areas of bioinformatics, computational biology, and health informatics, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Computational systems biology
- Microbiomics and Metagenomics
- Population, Evolution and Comparative Genomics
- Multi-omics data analysis and integration
- Translational Bioinformatics
- Clinical and health decision support systems
- Biomedical and clinical data analytics
- Mobile health and sensor network
- Behavioral, Environmental, and Public health informatics
- Clinical and Health decision support systems
- Bioimage and Data visualization
- Text mining of Biomedical literature and Electronic health records
Submissions that fall under any of the following categories are highly encouraged: original research contributions, or preliminary results or proof-of-concept studies arising from work-in-progress, or results arising from undergraduate research or student- initiated research, or survey of tools and techniques in bioinformatics and biomedical health informatics.
Format Requirement
All interested authors are expected to submit a 1/2-page abstract describing their posters on
OpenReview. Submitted abstracts should
not exceed two pages in (
ACM Master Article Template) on 8.5 x 11 inch paper. ACM-BCB's technical program committee will review all submissions on the basis of their originality, technical soundness, significance, presentation, and interest to the conference attendees. The accepted posters of registered authors will have the option of having a 1-page abstract included in the proceedings published by ACM Digital Library.
(For actual posters to be presented at the conference, size is limited to “36 x 48”.)
